Rob and the boys blew me away this year. I thought I was doing good getting the boys, "the perfect" gifts. Ethan got drums, Ben got an I touch and Jacob got a cool hard and soft case for his MAC. Well wasn't I surprised when they had gifts and cards for me and on the first night. I guess my freak outs in years past finally made an impact on them. I had resigned myself to being the selfless mother yet again on Channukkah. Selfless nothing, I got gifts and hand made cards. Ethan got me adorable, red, clay earrings. Ben got me a fabulous, funny faced mug and Jacob got me practical car accessories. And what did Rob do.....he blew my mind!!! He surprised me by getting a picture I showed him in a local magazine. I had seen the painting and met the artist in early November. I fell in love with the picture of downtown Knoxville and now my husband surprised me with it. He was crying, I was crying, I know the kids were impressed too. It is so fun to be surprised with the perfect gift. I am one big sap this year, feeling the love and stuff for sure. The painting has all of our initials in it, including Knox. It was meant for me/us and I will cheerish it forever! It's big, beautiful and ours!
