My Story

Knoxville, Tennessee, United States
Who am I? A question that I've been asking myself for 47 years. There are some things that I do know for sure. I am woman who loves deeply, cares like crazy, feels everything in my core. I am wildly creative, love to laugh, smile and I take great joy in knowing that I have worked hard at being the best wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend and teacher that I can be. I am open to possibilities, passionate about causes and people. I have trouble with transitions and hate to disappoint anyone....EVER! I know that I need to get stronger on the inside so that I can more gracefully and flow with the changes and opportunities that come my way. I invite you to join me on my journey to my core and beyond. Let's grow together!

I'm finally putting a blog together with the help of my techno-savy son, Jacob. I'm trying to write this as my two teenage son's continue to attack and harass each other. When will the fighting ever seize. I guess it's just boy stuff! Speaking of boys stuff, I've spent almost 18 years doing my best to raise these man-like creatures. They amaze me daily and I constantly question my ability to communicate effectively with these boy cubs. I hope that my efforts have not been in vain and that at some point they will deepen their awareness to all that is possible and beautiful in this world. Give me strength and patience! With three teenage sons, a manly husband and a boy dog.....this blog is for me and my girl peeps. The ones that keep me sane and remind me to look at the big picture and continue to believe in miracles big and small. Actually everything is a miracle..from getting out of bed in the morning to wearing a smile on your face. We need to be reminded that it truly is the little things that make the big difference. My friend, Deborah, once told me the goal is to "live an ordinary life in an extra-ordinary way" and that my friends, is my daily intention. It is my hope for me and for you. It is only possible as we give ourselves freedom to grow and flow. We need to be open to possibilities and to allow ourselves to fail. Too often we are driven to success, let's drive ourselves to try. To challenge ourselves in new ways and take risks that gently take us out of our comfort zones. Don't go to fast, or drive too far, it's about the baby steps that delight us on our journey through our ordinary and extraordinary lives. Be kind to yourselves and make sure you create space to grow and I don't mean pant size, grow. Grow in the way you see yourself, grow in the way you approach life, grow in the depths that you allow yourself to love and receive love. Just grow and enjoy the process of self discovery and new enlightened awareness.
